Mid-February with my 5-year-old, Beth, bluegill-fishing on an

abnormally warm late "winter-thaw" reaching 70-degrees. She

caught 22-sunfish; I got-none! Wouldn't have-it any other-way!

 

10 a.m. on a January-day; most "intelligent"-humans were busy

at-"work" honing-careers, climbing the-"ladder; not-"genius"-me!?

I'm home early on this literally-freezing winter-day to ride a-horse.

 

Tacked-up, we set out for a mile and a-half trek; down the road

descending the-bluff to come-out in the creek-bottom at the-spring.

On-up the steep-hillside, through the skeleton-tree-woods, home!

Later, in warming-spring, I'll saddle 2-horses, load 3-year old Becky

aboard old Lady-Belle, our little white Welsh-pony, and packed with

a picnic-lunch including colored Easter-eggs, bologna-sandwiches and 

cookies in our saddle-bags along with a canteen of cool well-water, lead-

line lead her behind my-mount to the-spring for a delectable-treat. Wow!

 

But---back to..."A-horse! A-horse! Any-kingdom for a horse!"-story.

 

That January-morn freezing-ride left me chilled to the-bone, so very-

cold that my teeth felt-frozen from the freeze of a strong north-wind.

 

By the-time I got home, unsaddled ole-Commander and made my-way to

the cozy-house on the bluff, I needed a wood-fire blazing in the fireplace.

 

So? Yeah!---I indulged my-fantasies! Always!..."Played"-a-lot! Fun!

 

The "steady"-boys got the-promotions (I turned them-down---Flat!) They

climbed the-ladder; this-Hedonist celebrated-life living the-Adventure!

 

Built and lived in some mighty fine-homes! Swimming-pools! Horses!

Pets! Sports-cars! Vacations! Travel! Santa Claus-gifts! Fun! Love!

 

My-kingdom!?---A Treasure-Measure-Treasure!...Living the-adventure!

 

Getty-up! Oh! Faithful-Mirage! Off on another-adventure! Sure-enough!

Bapa’s-story since the-miracle of our Z. Tyler-man! Oh! Boy! Oh! Joy!

 

I was 40 plus 6-months that same-year when he came-along; first-thing I-did

was quit my “day”-job so I could spend every day with my new-playmate! Z!

 

We sure-enough had us a-time! The “old”-man and the baby-boy pup! Oh! Yeah1

Z. rode shotgun in my red Ford-Ranger; he learned to drive it at age-12! Hmm!

His first-winter, we went full-moonlight tractor-riding in 20°-weather! Brrr!

At 9!-months Z. could hit a ball in mid-air with a little plastic-bat! Play-ball!

Z. traveled from the Atlantic to Pacific Ocean in 30-days before he was 4!

He co-piloted our U-haul from St. Lou to Oregon’s Great Northwest where

we-lived for several-years while his Mom went to Law School; we played at

the Pacific Ocean beaches, hit golf-balls at the local driving-range, traveled

all-over Northern-California! Reno! (Won $60 on a-slot until a “snooty” floor-marager said

the-“kid” had to-leave; he was too-young to be-winning that kind-of-cash!? Beth snatched Z. out of my-arms

and ran to the-elevator---I lost all that 60…and…more! They took my Good-Luck! Slot-buddy! Damn!)

We took-in the sites of good-ole-Oregon! Washington-state! The panhandle

of-Idaho! On into Canada! T’swassen! Victoria, British Columbia! More! Beth

did a visiting-student 3^rd-year at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee!

We loaded up the-household, horses, dogs---and…people…and, moved-east!

After a few years in my hometown in Dixie, we returned to Illinois! Hmm!

Z.’s traveled to Europe! Ireland! Canada to play ice-hockey! Mexico! Islands!

He has grown to earn his MBA-degree! Loves & excels-at-golf! Masters-sales!

To say the-“Young-man” is talented would be a severe-understatement! Blessed!

And---January 22, 2021…Z. & Jen will Grace us with a-clone of the 2-of-them! Yea!

And---then…What-else? We do-it-all one-more-time! With-Gusto! Good-job! Son!

A woman stood in line at a convenient-store behind a little

10-year old at the counter in front of her with a cold-Slurpee

in his sweaty-hand. The patient-clerk calmly waited as the-

boy clumsily dropped his coins on the glass countertop, one

at a-time. The sum came up 21-cents short of-enough money.

 

The lady motioned to the clerk to give the-boy his drink; she

then came forward and quietly paid the difference. Amen!

 

All are born---with-Love...to-Love! The-lady showed-Class!

 

A group of Christian-citizens surrounded a statue of St. Louis

in the city of the same-name in an effort to keep protesters from

damaging the monument or taking it-down. The gathering of-

protectors stood quietly around the statue praying-aloud the "Hail-

Mary" prayer. The protesters verbally-assaulted the peaceful-group

in an effort to-harass them for trying to-protect the St. Louis statue;

one of the protesters assaulted the "protectors" utilizing a walking-

stick as a club to-strike one of the group knocking out his-teeth!

 

Some learned evil-Hate!---They embrace-it!...They choose-it!

 

Blessed are the-Peacemakers!---They live and practice...Love!

Social-media is a modern-phenomena! A-"tool"! No-more! No-less!

 

Like the very-experience-of-Life! Personal-Choice! is the only-issue!

 

Choose: Truth! Love! Honesty! Faith! Family! Freedom! Laughter!

 

If positive-choices do-not improve one's lot-in-life? Re-evaluate!

 

The "choice" is your-own!---Life! is Love!...Choose: Wisely!

We got a real sweet-treat today---"Honey"...processing.

 

Daughter-Becky has 4 bee-hives; today she "harvested"

some "honey" from her captive worker-bees by taking

the inside frames from the hive; these are filled with honey.

 

Each frame is "capped" by the bees; a bread-knife cuts away

this wax-seal, the frames are then inserted into a cylindrical-

tube which is manually spun forcing the thick-honey into a

stainless-steel can. The wax is then placed in cheesecloth packs

and run-through the spinning-process to get every last-drop. Yum!

 

The raw honey will-be triple strained through miniscule mesh-

strainers---the final-result...pure golden-sunshine delight!

 

The harvesting-process is very labor-intensive; the-result---Delicious!

 

I believe "honey" has been found from some 4500-years ago!

Still-edible! Wow!

 

Another "positive"-day!---Learned something "new"!...Great-day!

 

Thank-you!---To the busy-bees!...and Becky and family!

I even got some-sticky on my fingers to lick-off! Hmm!

When in-need, indeed, where might thee secure-one?

On alabaster-pale full-moon light!---or…Golden-sun!

Feathered-wings brilliant-bright! Sacred fantasy-fun!

 

In any time-through-space my angels-myriad graced-pleasure

In some dark-of-night dream-scare a sword-of-light measure

In a harbor-comfort warm-softness a Candy-angel treasure

 

Where-’ere shadow-evil lurks an army-of-angels triumph-would

To a dark pain-of-hurt an angel-band heart-remedy they-should

Embrace eternal angel-Love! in simple-humble know they-could

 

Canyon-echoes in me-mind of Cherubim & Seraphim song long-ago

’Tis tender Angel-mother’s happy tune-melody “I-love-you!” show

Learned-well yon Angel-creed lessons any Mom & Dad surely-know

 

In those beginning tender-years development rules concluding-Value!

A-purpose practice sacred-thought! –word! –deed! Crystal-virtue! Do!

Tally pure-Love! concluding His-Glory! On-a Whisper-wind that-blew

 

Recognition-through-time in Angel-Love! endearing every sister/brother

Built-strong upon foundation-Love! holy-born of Angel-Father/Mother

Praise! Ancestors’ cherished Angel-heart bequeathed to-progeny all-other

 

And, might-I through obfuscating-fog intelligent learn to Angel-treat

Exemplar-dawn like a fresh new-day offer sunshine’s cadenced-beat

Even the beggar-angel along the-road to save-the-day un-selfish feat

 

For surely-I am-witness in a sacred vision-dream myriad holy Angel-bands

In each blessed town to city-wide in-triumph over-evil in protective-hands

Pray! Sinner-I might one-day measure-up near-them Honor-Proud to-stand

 

Thank-Thee! In-Praise! Honor! Glory! Collective-Proud! My Angel-friends

Exceedingly-Blessed be un-deserving humble-I of tender-heart an angel-lends

I witness-true the cadenced-rhythm beat of angel soft-wings our Lord-sends

 

Well? Sure-enough! I reckon-so! I have-been and might have better-tallied

To-find in this-now I-am in Awesome-wonder wishing I had-not faux-dallied

In a  future-chance at saving-Grace! Perhaps? With-aid? Maybe? I-rallied!?
