"Riddle"-me this!?

A 3¢-enigma!

 

To a-riddle perplexed!?---Not…without all the-facts! Hmm!?

 

I have 5-coins of U.S. mintage-true. Each-count? 3¢ my-sum!?

 

I hold a-dime! A-nickel! Three copper-brown pennies! (5-coins)

 

 Now, certainly (simple-humble)-I profess no-“genius”! But, I can-count!?

On a rare-occasion night when slumber-vacates elusive, I-contemplate

yonder “Quadratic-equations” like counting-sheep in-search of-sleep.

So, absent any mathematic-whiz claim---2 ’n 2…be-“fore”! I-Hope!?

 

Yet, no-matter the effort-counting eternal, all me-tally cannot cipher

any-sum beyond a vacant-sum to my-account of more-than: “3¢”!?

 

Ah! Now! Some additional needed information! Answer: 3¢!!!

 

Yeah!---even lowly-I know the sum is (usually)…18¢! Hmm!?

 

So!? How do-I always-get the same answer to the query? 3¢!?

 

Because I-“owe”---my-friend, ole Billy Bob…a-nickel & a-dime!

 

And---there you-Go! Bunky!...“Nothing” is ever as it-seems! Hmm!?

 

Always-important to get “all”-the-facts---a-fore…jumping to-conclusions!
