Mom Margie! Life-celebration! (Part 16 of 17)

 “Steeples”-in-the-distance…

My "little"-world consisted of our home-town boasting
a population of 2,500-citizens, 6-miles away sat my
great-grandparents' farm where I spent the 2nd-greatest
amount of time next to "home" and, of special-interest,
my beloved-Fox Lake consisting of three ponds. Special!

For a "kid" with an un-limited imagination, these several-
venues provided myriad adventure-opportunities. Wonderful!

Each "scene" brought eternal-wonder, curiosity and discovery.
The events-of-each-day proved important in my development.
I learned to hunt and fish at the farm and Fox Lake. Ah! Yeah!

My present-day mantra which rules my life and Love developed
during those necessary formative-years. Faith! Family! Freedom!

So many adventures---exploring....learning. A---making...of...Me!

One of the special memories (all of them "special") is the "steeple".

From the south-end of the barn-loft at the "farm", a place where I
played "cowboy", caught pigeons for my "pen" at home, in-town,
I could open the wooden-window to view the steeple 3-miles away.

I delighted in "spying" from that window which overlooked 3-ponds,
the cattle-pasture dotted with cows, the horse-lot, hog-pen, fields.
Billy & Tommy were the farm's work horses. Ride-'em-cowboy!
Off in the far-horizon distance stood the Catholic church-steeple in the next
near-by town where eventually I would attend the parochial high-school.

Playing summer baseball in a league gave me a "slight"-expansion to
my tidy-little universe as we traveled, a-bit, to challenge neighboring-
town teams; many of the players were known to me by way of those games.
From my barn-door perch at the farm, I could manage to "image" in my
creative-mind the ball-diamonds in relation to the steeple. Great-fun!

Everything---exciting---adventurous---educational...Innocently-delightful!
And---best-of-all?...the farm back-porch gathering with...Family!
Ah!---Precious-Memories!...Valued more than any "silver" or "gold"!
A personal-note: Thank-you! Mom & Dad!---for letting me be a...child!

Amen!

Mom Margie! Life-celebration! (Part 14 of 17)

 A “Spiritual” addendum
(recent “unexplained” phenomena)

1) John’s “phantom” phone-photo of Mom with one-candle birthday cake!

2) Last night I laid on the love seat and fell asleep for an hour, got up and
came to the office where Nanny was watching “Bull:, as I passed close
to her she said to me, “Did you put on lotion? You smell like flowers.”

(That phenomena is known spiritually as a “Rose” manifestation)
Over the decades I have had myriad such supernatural experiences!?

3) I took this writing offering to Braun’s today, Saturday, for them to
lay in the casket with Mom. Nanny had to back out of from under the
portico and as she did so a “white dove’ flew up to her side window!

(That phenomena is known as a Manifestation-of-the-Holy Spirit)
Same as Monte’s aunt’s “hawk” experience and  Becky’s “dove”!

Jeez! Yet another Trinity! Wow!

Nanny just showed me Becky’s flower arrangement for Mom!
Just Awesome-Beautiful! What a most-Perfect family! Amen!
The photo brought tears to my eyes! Wow! Thank you! Amen!

God continues to bless us! Amen!

Mom Margie! Life-celebration! (Part 12 of 17)

 Happy Mother’s Day! Mom!
(“My Little Margie” - Mother)

Thanks for all you’ve done for us throughout our lives. None of us would have made it without you. We are well aware of your contributions and appreciate the help that came so often in so many ways. Your Christian-generosity to everyone is exemplary. I learned a lot from you.
You even looked like the lady in the “My Little Margie” TV show and her father was played by actor Charles Farrell. I had the prettiest Mom of all.
As a child, I looked up to you, believed everything you said, learned truth and worthwhile values. You kept us well-fed, clean, safe and saw to it that we had a good religious foundation. You could cook better than anybody and kept a spotless home. How you did it all with such ease and expertise, I’ll never understand; but, be sure that I truly am grateful for everything.
No complaints as you chauffeured us to countless ball games, ice skating, swimming, school, church, birthdays, the farm and more than I can mention. You were a better Mom than I was a son, but I really did try; I should have tried a lot harder. I was blessed with great parents and family; I still am.
I loved our trips to Tennessee. Fox Lake was a great place. You always had time for everyone and never demanded anything for yourself. You are one of the most selfless people I ever knew. Amazing how you got along without a car until I turned sixteen and then, suddenly you just had to have one. I know it was for me. You bought two boxes of chocolate covered cherries one Christmas, brought them to me at school in seventh grade so I could give them to two girls I liked. Wow!
They say boys marry girls like their mother. I surely did. Lady Candy allows that you never had anything unkind or uncharitable to say about anybody; that attitude values all lives. There are a lot of good people, surely some saints, and, I’ve even managed to find a few “real”-angels.
Yeah! I was always chasing rainbows, touched a few and even caught one or two; they’re so beautiful. You’ll always find me somewhere south of the high-noon sun and a bit west of that romantic-fantasy alabaster-pale full moon-dream galloping across a diamond-strewn heaven-abyss on a silver-white mythical winged-unicorn! I reckon that’s sure enough true! Amen!
Thanks for everything. I learned to enjoy a great life full of adventure and I have lived it well. Every day is a party, a series of exciting events. Awesome! Life is for---Living…and Loving!!!

Good-enough is “almost” effort
Better initiates entrepreneurial-ambition
Best reigns the Independent-Individual supreme

Live! Love! Laugh! Focus-contemplate!
Vigilant-be! No one’s future is ever late!

Faith! Family! Freedom! Might just be all there really---Is!
In one eternal-instant the only mercy-blessing will be…His!
Amen!

Happy Mother’s Day!  Mom!
We love you! Carl and Candy (5-13-2018)

Mom Margie! Life-celebration! (Part 11 of 17)

 Happy Birthday! Mom!
June 2, 2012
Thy Will be done!

Our Father…Who art in…Hallowed be…Thy kingdom come…Thy Will be done…Amen!

These fingers wore thin the pages of His Word, yet did I hear Him speak? The Good Book does, indeed, say “Thy...” and not “my”. Why then, always, “my will be done”?

I am thankful that He gave me free will and that, sometimes, I actually use that gift in accordance with His Will. If one thinks life is NOT as they perceive it ought to be, remember how bad it might get IF “my will be done.” The evil of pride shall not prevail in the temple of my life; there is no room for darkness to challenge my perfect Faith! Nor contest my true love of Family! Nor dull the sparkle luster of crowning Freedom! I shall freely pray and live---His Will!
His Ten Commandments--------------------------------------His Will be done!
His Sacred Eight Beatitudes----------------------------------His Will be done!
Faith! Hope! Charity! -----------------------------------------His Will be done!
Revelation tale: the good guys win, in the end-------------His Will be done!
Faith! Family! Freedom! (Man’s life Trinity!)-------------His Will be done!
I have known several saints in life and a few angels, and, I am not among them, sad to say. Yet, I pray, perhaps some tiny example of my level of Spiritual Development may offer hope to any who cares, or dares, to look. My transgressions, I freely confess to God. Forgive me, Father.
Though, for my attitude, there comes no apology. Within the “Trinity” of life I live freely and fully, enjoying each moment in the spirit of Faith! Family! Freedom! In that, my life is perfect!
Have some cake; dare to eat dessert first, sometimes, and often. In that hoped for eternal promise of yet another day, the hint of dawn to birth the ’morrow may not be for---me…or, thee. One day, it surely shall not come; then, I shall stand alone, and, hear His final Word. I will pray that instant, not for precise justice which now I do so often demand exacted, but, rather, for His tender Mercy in judgment of the lowly sinner standing humble before His Will be done. Amen!
I am blessed to come this far and thank Him for all the help He sent my way. God knows, I surely needed every bit, and, perhaps, then some. The people in this life of mine paved a stony path overlaid with smoothness love for one who could but barely walk a stride without falter. Those saints and my angels truly earned their wings protecting the burden which is I. Thank you.

Faith! Family! Freedom! May just be all there really is
In that final instant, the only counted judgment will be---His!

So, my Mother, dear, with tender heart and spirit respectful, I offer you, on this auspicious anniversary of your birth date, a well-deserved tribute and humble counsel:
Sing sweet angel hymns to precious loved ones’ hearts by honoring---
Thy Will be done!

Happy Birthday! Mom!
   Love, Carl & Candy
