Our "Fox-Lake"!
We took a ride, toay; ended up at Becky's farm. Surprise!
Becky was there; spraying mosss on the lake; working on her tractor.
We sojourned over to her "Witch's-cottage" and visited, a bit.
Love our "Fox-Lake"! I call it that, reminiscent of a childhood clubhouse.
Delightful! Sitting at the picnic-table listening to the awesome Whisper-wind!
Spring is in the-air; the pine-scent is on the-air! Life & Love are Great!

1:15 p.m., Sunday-afternoon, bright & sunny, 60's! What-a-day!
We're going to Rural King for spray paint; I ran out referbushing
the picnic-table; a pretty-simple trek!? Well! Maybe! Hmm!?
We are southbound on Route 3 at the Waterloo, Illinois intersection
with North Market St. (old Rt. 3 before the by-pass) stopped at a
red-light in the left-turn lane waiting our-turn for a green-light.
Traffic is heavy and brisk at the popular Wal-mart intersection.
We are stopped; the cross-traffic light turns green for vehices
headed west. Candy yells, "Oh! My-god!" As a green pick-up
headed west entered the north-bound lanes of Rt. 3, a black
pick-up headed northbound at about 75 mph blew through its
red-light. The green truck driver seemed oblivious to the happening
as he simply continued on through the intersection; the black truck
screamed past his front-end, missing it by inches. The green truck
went on through toward Wal-Mart in a leisurely-fashion; an-SUV
Monroe County Sheriff Deputy vehicle, in hot pursuit of the black
truck, flew through the intersection. The deputy swerved slightly
to fly-by the green truck, missing it by inches. The black truck and
the police car continued northbound not slowing. Where we were,
if the black truck had hit the green pick-up, it seemed obvious that the
black truck fleeing the police persuit would have careened directly into
our stopped vehicle. We were approzimately 16' from the black truck.
Luckily, neither the "criminal"-idiot nor the deputy hit the green-truck!
Wow! At 70 mph a vehicle covers 90 ft./secong! No-way they miss-us!
We were within 1/4-second of cruel-death! Thank-God for miracles!
I understand an-"accident"---but...purposed idiot-conduct!? NO!
I often remark, "It just wasn't his (her) time!" When one lucks-out! Wow!
Glad to still be-here! Counting our-blessings! Over & over! Amen!
Today!---Just wasn't our-turn!...Time! is fleeting! Enjoy! Life! & Love!

"Old"-Pictures! Wow!
Lovely-Lady Candice Leah and I spent Saturday-morning
purviewing some old-photos of my famly. I just finished a
book titled "Brothers" (to be publishd soon). I wanted a
photo capturing my brother and me in youth; we searched our
archives and found a couple that will work. But, one is pretty
-blurred and in the second-one, my eyes are closed. Daughter-
Becky thinks someone might "photo-shop" them to-Perfection!
Also, Back in the day (as the newbies say), we didn't have a
plethora of entertainment like today's moderns enjoy; we
made our own "fun". Several of the neighborhood kids and
I scrounged-up the makings of a "Go-cart"; turned out "Good!";
I intend to use it in my-book. Yeah! We managed to find the photo.
Then, we took a leisurely car-ride to our "secret" Fox Lake! Wow!
A bit too-early in the day for a "anipe-hunt"---But...Oh! Well!

Got ll the fertilizer and ground improvement minerals sown. Nice!
Waiting for a "gentle"-rain to settle it all into the earth. Cool!
I'll be mowing tall, green-grass in about 3-weeks! Reckon-so!
Ole man-winter is in his last throes; I sure-enough enjoyed it!
Moving-n! Looking forward to a warmer-season! Change!
Whatever He sends, I'll enjoy-ti and be-Thankful! & appriciative!
6 - 8 weeks until the wild Morels shoot-up from the forest-floor! Yum!
