Oh! We're in "Good"-hands!? Hmm?

 Salvation!? "Metro-link"!?

Friend "Ed" manages the loss of his left leg below the knee
quite well; I have never heard him complain or whine. Kudos!

Ed is a photographer. He was out enjoying a beautiful fall
day when he found himself at a St. Louis Metro-link station
in a suburb, he stopped to snap a few photos. just as a train
approached the stop. To Ed's surprise, he spied the engineer
pick up his microphone and then heard him yelling, "Security!
Security! Some guy is taking pictures of the train!

Suddenly, a guard appeared and began walking rapidly toward
Ed yelling, "You can't take pictures of the Metro train!"

Ed said, "I'm sorry! I didn't know." Then, he hobbled off.

The guard followed Ed to his car; Ed drove away. Wow!

"Metro-link"?---Tax funded multi-million dollar...Loser!
Now squandering millions more! Ever hear of the "Trolley"-scam!

D.C. "sheep" farm?---Fleece 'em! Boys!...Bleed 'em dry! And, more!!!

Terrorism!?---Is everybody...Bored! Lonely! & Afraid!? Yet?

Just wondering where in Hell was some(?) guard in Israel? Hmm?

Oh! Don't forget to "duck"!---Or run!...Or hide!...Or cry!

Amen!

Whisper-wind!

 Excerpt (from an upcoming book)

“Become attuned to nature in your senses. Every second of your life is an event, an adventure on your journey. Smell the air, feel the wind, allow your fingers to touch the electricity of living. When you can sense the singing of birds before you hear them, you will learn to smell snow long before it comes. There is no boredom for intelligent people - only the excitement of the adventure of life.”

Amen!

Stae-"house" hoppin'!

 State-‘house” hopping! Yeah!

We enjoyed a cordial breakfast  meeting after mass

on Sunday morning; the conversation came around

to a discussion of where people had previously lived.

A number had been blessed to live in some awesome venues.

Hob-nobbin’ with the rich-‘n-famous! Oh! Yeah! “Kardashian”!?

I kept my usual “overactive” mouth shut---Tight!...Not a ‘Braggard”!?

But---off-the-record…and not for public notice publication:

I’ve lived in upstate New York, Northern California, Southern

California, Arizona, Southern Illinois, and Northern Illinois!

Yes! Sir! This ole boy has been around a secure place or two or three!

That would be, by name:

Attica! Alcatraz! Folsom! Chino! Yuma! Marion! & Joliet!

They got walls! Hmm!---To keep me “in”?...Or them out!?

Security! Too! Like you wouldn’t believe! And steel doors!

But, don’t cry for me---too much…I do deserve it? Judge said so!

I never “hung” (Ugh! Bad choice of words!) around very long.

1 to 2!  Maybe? 3 to 5 here! 5 to 10 there! 25 to life! Forever!?

Not bad---for a three-time loser…3-chops and a flop! Every day!

It’s been a Grand “theft”---Uh! Er! I mean…-adventure!

But---my stand-up comic routine is Good!...Got a “captive” audience!?

“Gated”-community!?---Nah!...Too easy to get into; too hard to get out of!

Might be out tonight?---If…the rope is long and strong!?

I forgot my ole Pappy’s admonition!---Good advice!...Don’t get caught!

Now? They tell me! Duh!---Oops! Gotta go!...Lights-Out!!!

Sure is drafty in here!---Somebody left the door OPEN!...’Bye!

Amen!

Rendezvous (Part 2 of 2)

“If you could choose a ‘flat’ line life without severe fluctuations with only a very few ‘ups’ and ‘down’s’ or a fury of extreme reaches like the jagged line while knowing that each ‘high’ point would require an equally ‘low’ depression through your life span, which would you pick?”

Absent even an eye blink of hesitation, I confessed with Honor and commitment, “I’d take the extreme adventure---all day long…every time! No question!”

Michael smiled, apparently pleased with my reply, kind of like he already knew my answer.

Actually, and I did allow this Truth to Michael by way of explanation, it is exactly how I live.

Michael went on to explain about the “Wind” of the Holy Spirit, the manner in which it can manifest itself in time of need, especially when wrestling with an important decision.

He had a girlfriend, once, who fell victim to evil cancer; they attended a preacher’s prayer service and went up for “altar-call” at the conclusion.

Michael said he did not really expect anything “physical” to occur but as he and the girl walked up three steps to the altar area to meet the minister, a very strong “wind” swirled around the couple, strong enough that they had to literally lean into it, a bit; problem was, they were inside a closed building and there was no “wind”. Michael said it was the stirring of the Holy Spirit and he admitted, “I started bawling like a baby! I had no control over the emotion.”

“So?” I inquired. “What happened to your girlfriend with the cancer?”

He looked sad and said, simply, “She died about two years later. It was God’s will.”

He sobered. “That’s exactly the point,” he concluded in exclamation, “it’s not up to us.

“Just like the ‘birth’ and ‘death’---it’s all…in His plan and in His hands.”

In later exchanges with people whom I have opened up to share some of my beliefs and religious and spiritual conclusions, that point of not being in control of life and death often got a not unexpected reply and reaction: Oh! Yeah! What about ‘suicide?  Aah! The Challenge.

To which objection, I retort, “What about failed suicides? Perhaps some future time is their Rendezvous with death? Are they a ‘second’ premature in their execution or a time-period late in their arrival at determination of their exit point? When He calls---I am going…and so are all!

Michaels and I had a 17 year “Spiritual” relationship; it was educational, enlightening. Great!

His death Rendezvous came at the age of 58. I miss him and will forever love his spirit. Amen!

I accept Rendezvous!---I refuse to indulge Worry! & Fear!...Rather: Faith! Family! Freedom!

I might have learned a few important lessons in 7+ decades of experience and adventure.

I pray, included are: Appreciation! Life! Love! Laugh! Truth! Honor! Redemption! Salvation!

I was gifted a Rendezvous-with-birth! –in-time/space! –on some future ’morrow…Reward!

A holy-sacred Whisper-wind of Love!-Peace! soothes any Rendezvous!

Live! Love! Laugh! Focus contemplate!

Vigilant be! No one’s future is ever late!

Faith! Family! Freedom! Might just be all there really---Is!

In one eternal-instant the only mercy-blessing will be…His!

Amen!

A Time to be born---A Space to live…A Rendezvous with destiny! Amen!
