Night had overcome the day in their relentless game-of-tag

Diamond-twinkles starred yonder canopy black-abyss flag

 

Streetlights glowed “full moon” fog-haze eerie early chill eve

Nature-choreographed snowflakes danced no offered reprieve

 

An errant cold-slip icy breached a void down a tender neck

Brrr! A shiver! Pull tight the hood against wet snow-fleck

 

’Tis ole Christmas Eve! Alleluia! May the merriment begin!

Seems festivities reign since last! Would such be an evil sin?

 

Time-through-space enough to tally myriad sacred-holy “Good”!

Count celestial Blessings offered-garnered ever-Thankful! I-could!

Tally focused-Love event-adventures truly appreciated! I-should!

Embrace Justice!-Truth! For all it’s simple-final worth! I-would!

 

Main street glitter-gleams a sparkle-light show Red! White! & Blue!

I silent pray: Thanksgiving! Lord! Cherish worthy-value Love I knew!

 

Fountain-square alive with moving lights resplendent fashion-waterfall

Couples! Families! Carolers! Listen! Hear His Communion-Angel call?

 

Yonder!-view! In snow-thrill sky a red sleigh and eight tiny reindeer!

And, Oh! My!---Dear Santa Claus!...Onlookers give a hearty Cheer!

 

That I might remember child Christmas-Fantasy! My-Treasure!

Somewhere(?) Innocent-lexicon vacated “Youth!” Poor-Measure!

Ah!-Ha! I fooled sophisticated-“adults”! I never left! Pure-Pleasure!

 

Accumulating white-drift! I run & slide! Fun-gift for this child!

Wiped-out! Face-first! Cold-freeze! GREAT! Wild! I-Smiled!

 

Maybe? Perhaps?---I just can’t be ole Santa Claus!...I shall effort-try!

And, join all children Fantasy!---Rainbows! Butterflies! Unicorns!...to Fly!

 

Listen! Close! To Innocent-Jesus’ Angels Whisper-wind! Sacred-Peace!

Be Free! & True! & Love! Soar cosmos Innocence snow-trace release

 

Spy yonder candle-in-the-window---Home!...a Merry Christmas! Thought!

I have-been! And am! On the ’morrow-dawn may even be! Love-caught!

Snow-white fluff sparkle-soft to choreograph-glisten

For presents of Christmas-Love angel-children listen

 

Sacred-solemn worship-place at holy Midnight-mass

Cherubim & Seraphim Angelic-sing of heaven-class

 

Jesus-adoration! Faithful-adulation!

Redemption-Salvation calculation!

 

Frigid icicle silver-sparkle sunshine pristine gleam

Evergreen ornament borns Christmas secret-dream

 

Red be bright-color announcing ole Santa Claus

White “Virgin”-pure blaze blizzard-swirl a pause

Blue-soft comfort-warm Christian-heart it thaws

 

God Love! Jesus Blessing! Holy Spirit Grace!

Peace-on His-earth! Reconcile celestial place!

 

A once-told Christmas tale: I ventured to the blue Pacific overlook

in search for respite-Peace! An old man entered my reverie deceiving

a-purposed focus in slight annoyance. He smiled bright-blue twinkle-

eyes staring beyond the far horizon like he could “see”. In yon soft

Angelic tones he soothed me spirit in Christmas-Christian Peace!

“I come here often-enough; alone forever, now. But---Ah! Once.... I

reveled in the holiday spirit-season as a child, then a loving husband

become devoted father to an adoring tribe…” He smiled a tear away.

“Oh! ’Tis purely true! I played at ole Santa Claus!---It’s he…I am!

Was special! Each Christmas-Peace!---Each single day!...All life!

Jesus’ Blessings! Exceedingly! Each Christmas greater than the last!

Kinfolk! Myriad friends! Acquaintances! The feast! Christmas ‘presents’!

Yes! Lord!---Was ‘that’ precisely the very ‘Best’!...Christmas ‘presence’!

Would that I might live such Christian-generous Love---each day…all year!”

He faded off somehow---left me Love-“fulfilled”…and, then, I prayed “Life”!

I Love holy Christmas! Snow! Festivities! Yeah! I’m a “kid”!

Decorations! Food! Presents! Christian-cheer! One Love!-bid!

 

Each morn I “Thank God!” for another chance-at-sacred-Peace!

One more precious day to try—Succeed!...To pray all-evil cease!

 

I awake from respite-night to pink-blush hint-of-dawn

Yon golden-glow clarion-calls yellow sun-orb bring day

Mid-morn rest under silver-maple filigree dapple-shade

In warm-comfort I witness sacred-home high-sun noon

Come afternoon refresh with Cool ice-cream sweet-treat

Delectable dinner-fare soft purple-shadow evening-glow

Family gathered to share soft-Love in night-prayer vigil

Might consider live just west of alabaster pale full moon

Midnight-dreams yon Magic-unicorn sour Fantasy-space

Angel trumpet-call for day-tag-chase-night inspiring-dawn

 

Lord! That I might have but one wish to celebrate Thy birth

Peace! Lord! Holy-sacred Peace! Mankind Salvation-worth

 

Jesus said, “Send me the little children.” Ole Santa’s affirmation

Busy Santa’s workshop making toys for kids’ gleeful consideration

 

A Christmas-tree snow-white with bright-blue ornaments and lights

Or multi-colored glows to delight little-ones curiosity holiday-sights

 

View frozen ice-wave sculpted blue-white glisten sparkle-beams

Bright-color coats and scarfs crackle pond-skate bonfire schemes

 

 Breakneck red-sled racers o’re swales then down the icy slick-shute

New Christmas-presents donned on handsome boys and girls so cute

 

Sweet-Granny calls across the way to summon diners “Come-eat!”

Hungry-all! Yon throng anticipates special feasts, exquisite sweets

 

And, through it all---too much and more…Grateful! Thank you!

Personally! I know Peace!---For thee?...Love! and Peace! Too!

Jesus healed the blind to see! The lame to walk!

Redemption! Salvation! In adoration I humble-talk

 

Procrastination-excuses!? And, Lazarus was even Dead!

Try!?---Tiny mustard-seed!...Sacred-Ambition instead!

 

“Send me the little children!” Jesus summoned-true!

I love them-all along with noble-horses I pleasant- knew

I venu-ed any-event---and…each adventure was life-Love!

Faith revealed Father! Son! And Holy Spirit white-dove!

Family–focus celebrated a satiated-spirit of heaven-above!

Freedom-song rings-Liberty cadenced-rhythm echo-glove!

 

O! Holy! Silent-night! Angels-sing! Bethlehem!-Noel! Noel!

 

I dared not miscue---any single-reverberation…Oh! So Sorry if ye be absent!

Times were new! I purpose non-conformed to Rebel!-Rascal! Rogue!-intent!

“They” understood our irreverence---not…lamented any tacit moral-consent!

God celebrated-lives in the rhythm-beat holy-sacred Omnipotent-Omniscient!

 

Christmas star! Upon yon midnight clear! O! Little drummer-boy!

 

Came yonder softness Whisper-wind to youth passion-emotion!

New heart-spirit pulsating beat invoke Rock-’n-roll! Folk! Edition!

We never meant to “Burn-it-to-the-ground” vacant evil-sedition!

Too much Hedonism faux- “Fun” designed-rules by our condition!

 

Away in a manger! We three kings of Orient are! Come! Ye-Faithful!

 

Then came a prairie-horizon! Mountain-summit white! Ocean green-blue!

Yonder shroud-escarpment sentinel to view Pacific-wide subtle ocean-hue!

Rainbows! Butterflies! To Unicorn-soar eternal misty-cosmos begins anew!

Feelings-Wild! Dictating emotion-passion teenage-generation action-cue!

 

Soldiers! Flowers! Gone? Justice!-Hammer! Puff! Magic-Dragon! Lore!

 

Where came each new pink-blush hint-of-dawn after-night afore-day?

Work? Toil? Challenge! Snare? “Reality” while I always at Fun-play!

Did ever I “fit” any-mold!?---Hmm!...A-purpose “No!” I admit-say!

Responsible! Mature! Serious!—Not I!...The faux-piper yet to pay!?

 

Home from the hill! Cannons roared! Green-fields! Justice! In some end!

 

Came I upon yon New Year celebration-delight just to chance-“attend”!

Me sacred-Spirit satiated- Honor!-Pure! From heaven flew-descend!

I know His-rules!---And, man’s…Did not a-purpose mean to offend!

And, in me own time-through-space procured a Freedom! star-ascend!

 

Blue-yonder! Emerald-turf! Earth!-Wind!-Fire! Alpha-return-Omega!

 

Allow that I teach thee new Greek-alphabet!

Let them steal not thy time and life holy-gift!

 

Fear-not to dream too-big!---Only…Too small or not at all!

 

Celebrate each new pink-blush promise-dawn hint-of-day!

Relish mid-day Peace in filigree silver-maple cooling shade!

Enjoy sustenance-lunch in comfort-warmth of high-noon sun!
