Grow!---Baby (grass)...Grow!?

 

So!? I fertilized the ole yard in March, and, just "what?"

did you (genius?) expect to happen next? Grow! Grow!

 

And---sure enough...it did just that!

 

But---I reckon it does look "good"..Green ! Green! Green!

 

Somewhere over the Autumn-horizon is a Winter-respite!

 

I sure-enough reckon that's true!---Until then...Mow! Mow! Mow!

Soft-ball seson! Yea!

 

"Play-ball!"

 

Early for ball-season!? Yeah Maybe! A-bit!

 

But, our Lex-Lu had two games today in a tournament;

we spectated under a blue sky; had a lot of fun! She won 2!

 

More games tomorrow; we'll miss the finale. She'll do fine.

Cloudy & cool with "sprinkle"-showers---GREAT!

 

Attitude!?

 

Okay! So? The weather on this date, April 5, 2019, is

overcast, cool and "sprinkles"-of-rain! What-a day!

 

I had a pear this afternoon for a snack; when finished

with the tasty-delight, I fished the seeds out of the core.

 

These, I planted in our garage-shelf "nursery" where I have

started some 350+ other trees and shrubs for spring-planting.

 

Such-a-fabulously-beautiful-day! Gee! It really is: Attitude!

Soaring-Eagles!

 

Last-night we had the distinct-pleasure of attending

Granddaughter Anna Marie's Soaring Eagles award.

 

42-exceptional high-school students received commendations

at a celebration of  nominees by teachers recommending

"special"-students for the coveted-Eagle designation. Wow! 

 

One-nominee was chosen by each teacher of the various disciplines

offered at Columbia High School for the 2018-2019 academic-year.

 

Each teacher spoke for a few-minutes about their particular-

choice for the award describing the student's qualifications

to be selected for the award. Numerous-accolades flowed

from the educators celebrating "special"-qualities they

had recognized among their various-pupils from class.

 

Intelligence! Charity! Kindness! Compassion! Generosity! Love!

And, much more honored these over-achievers as future-leaders. 

 

Pride in these fine young-people could be felt in the room

as, one by one, the students came forward for their award.

 

Our future is in our youth! "We" are in very-good hands!

 

Congratulations! Miss-Anna Marie!

And---to all...the "worthy"-recipients!

Noise-pollution!?

 

"Yap!"---"Yap!"...Yap!"

 

 

A few years-ago, around Christmas,(I do not remember

the exact-incident), but, something happened (probably
something "I"-said) that elicited a somewhat non-charitable,
non-Christian attitude as my "un"-thinking mouth
voiced my holiday-wish for that year.

 

"My only wish for Christmas is that everyone take a moment

to consider "what" they are going to say, contemplate the words

and, their meaning, along with all possible mis-implications---
and, then...consider keeping the "thought" completely-private!...

 

 "Might make for less-problems overall---and...much more quiet!"

 

We can all do more to embrace: Peace!---Save the planet!...Plant-a-tree!

Recycle! Be-civil! Polite! Contrite! Simple! Humble! Charitable! Smile!

  

Silence!?---Contemplation!?...Might make for a lot-less noise-pollution!

 

Maybe?---I'm just getting too-"old"!?...But, then, they all have...Phones!

Sure-enough!---cuts down on the noise!...I reckon-so! It's a start!?

Gee!---while I'm at it...Perhaps we could do something about thought-pollution!?
(Sure-enough see plenty of garbage---resultant of...synapses mis-firing! Bang!)

Just had us a school-board election here today!---The-tally?...Makes my-point!
 

To that---I-offer...a contemplatively-silent...Amen!

 

 



Spring-flower plethora!

 

A plethora of “subtle”/”vibrant” colors!

 

Played “buy-spring-flowers” with Lady-Candice & Lovely-Becky today.

 

Our 1^st-trip to the Wiethop-Nursery in South County (about 6-miles

from our home just across the Mississippi River) where we shop each

spring for some of our garden-plants celebrating a new growing-season.

 

Never disappointed with this retailer’s spring-flower offerings, this year

was no different; upon entering the establishment we were assaulted with

a veritable-explosion of color-delights. Just---absolutely…gorgeous!

 

The temptations more than I could possibly withstand; Candy and daughter-

Becky had no problem filling their carts with “goodies”, either. I managed

to garner 4- color-choices for planting at Becky’s Bohleysville farm-property.

 

She plans a grand entry with a wrought-iron display announcing the unassuming

name “Norwood Stables” for her 40-acre horse-farm and I have assumed the chance

to landscape the frontage with a raised flower-bed flanking the equine-gateway.

 

A copse of “natural”-trees on either side of the center-entry will be flower-sculpted.

 

So? It is too cool today for the fragile color-beauties---but…warm-soon!?

 

Reds! Yellows! Blues! Greens! Orange! Purple! Variegated! Floral-nirvana! Wow!

 

I will spread the Joy-of-floral-delight as best possible. (Even---more…trees!?)
